Finance Director

Emma was born in Los Angeles, California but moved to Sioux Falls with her mom during second grade. In Sioux Falls, she attended John F. Kennedy Elementary School, Memorial Middle School, and Roosevelt High School. When she turned seventeen, Emma found comfort and attention with friends by smoking, drinking, and staying out late into the night. Looking back now she realizes it was a way to try to fill a void that only God could fill. At the time, though, Emma and her mom struggled to get along, and she moved back to California to live with her dad. There, she met her boyfriend and ended up pregnant not long after.

Her son, Matthew, was born in 2009, and life as a young mom in an unstable relationship was filled with ups and downs and many moments of hopelessness. Emma’s mom had recently become a Christian, and she would call regularly to share scripture with Emma and encourage her to find a church. So, she did. Emma would push a stroller with her young son about a mile to a neighborhood Baptist church, where she surrendered her life to Christ only a few services in. In that moment, she felt God speaking to her that she wasn’t alone, and everything would be okay.

Emma and her boyfriend moved back to Sioux Falls when Matthew turned three years old, and they added another little boy, Alexander, to their crew in 2013. Then, in 2016, they wed. All the while, Emma continued to seek God, motivated by a desire to know Him more and more, and she prayed that her husband would come to know Christ too.

During their time in Sioux Falls, Emma had opportunities to work in the medical field and alongside her husband at Prairie Farms, with Emma in the front office and accounting department and her husband as the purchase for resale manager. There, Emma learned all things finance on the job.

In 2020, Emma and her husband welcomed their third son, Eli, to the family, and about a year and a half later, Emma’s husband gave his life to Christ (Praise the Lord!).

Emma is excited to engage in daily kingdom work while part of the Collision team. She believes that the way Collision speaks life into teenagers and shows them that they do have a purpose is life-changing, especially as a former teenager who didn’t know her own purpose. Aside from working as Finance Director at Collision, Emma dedicates herself to her family and enjoys watching her husband and two oldest sons play baseball in the warmer months.
