Catlin Young

Catlin grew up on both sides of the great state of South Dakota. After graduating from high school, he enlisted in the Army. During his time in the military, he married his sweetheart in 2007 and accepted Jesus as his Savior and Lord during marriage counseling—marking the start of their life together in California.

When he moved back to South Dakota, God led Catlin to a small-town church to begin raising his young family. While serving as a youth leader at summer church camp, Catlin received a ministry calling to serve youth. He later enrolled in the Berean School of the Bible through Global University. During a mission trip to Nicaragua, the Holy Spirit called him further into a ministry of preaching.

Catlin now serves as the Youth and Young Adult Pastor at Journey Church in Rapid City, SD. While serving there, he heard about and met the team from Collision Ministries—and knew instantly that this was what the youth of Rapid City needed.

Catlin and his wife, Kayla, are blessed parents of Kirsten, Chayson, Kinsley, and Calvin, and have also had the joy of fostering several children along the way.

He loves taking youth and young adults on local mission trips, enjoying great coffee, and making good Southern BBQ. More than anything, Catlin loves watching his children grow and walk with the Lord.

Catlin is passionate about encouraging others to follow and pursue the calling of God on their lives.
