Madison Williams
Field Coordinator & Digital Coach
Maddie grew up in a broken home. Her parents divorced when she was just five years old, and from a very young age, she felt like her feelings didn’t really matter. To protect herself, she put on a mask—becoming the happy, optimistic girl everyone saw while hiding the pain and struggles she faced inside. Maddie wrestled daily with depression and anxiety, unsure of who she really was because she was constantly pretending to be someone else.
When Maddie was about ten, she met a girl named Alina. She didn’t know much about her except that she was a Christian. Wanting to be like her, Maddie began following what she thought it meant to be a Christian, avoiding swearing, staying away from drinking, and trying to live by the rules she observed. But she didn’t truly know Jesus or understand the gospel, and she didn’t realize God wanted a personal relationship with her.
When she was 14, Maddie started dating a boy whose family was very different from hers. They ate dinner together every night and prayed before meals—something Maddie had never experienced. This planted hope inside her for the kind of family she wanted someday. Through him, she began going to youth group and was eventually invited to a Collision worship night at her high school.
That night changed everything. Surrounded by people worshiping Jesus with genuine joy and passion, hearing speakers share the gospel clearly, Maddie encountered Jesus for the first time. She realized He loved her deeply and wanted a relationship with her. That night, she gave her life to Christ.
From that point on, Maddie’s life was forever changed. She became a student leader for Collision during her last three years of high school and the depression and anxiety that once weighed her down began to lift. She discovered her true identity as a beloved daughter of God, no longer hiding behind masks or trying to fit others’ expectations.
Today, Maddie serves as a Field Coordinator and Digital Coach, grateful to give back to the ministry that has impacted her life. She feels truly blessed to help students find the hope and peace she found in Jesus, and to walk alongside them as they discover their own identity in Him.
