RJ McCauley
Riverside, CA Field Director
Over the past 20 years, RJ has served in youth ministry as a volunteer, leader, counselor, mentor, coach, teacher, and pastor. He got saved during his senior year in high school and never turned back on God’s calling for his life to build the kingdom of God!
He served at Harvest Christian Fellowship, where he learned youth evangelism (2003–2013), and then became the Student Ministries Pastor at Magnolia Church, where he learned youth discipleship (2013–present).
After graduating from Riverside Community College with an A.S. in Architecture (2007), God called him out of the “industry into the ministry” to build lives instead of buildings. He started a new journey at California Baptist University with a B.A. in Christian Ministries (2011), attended the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary (2013–2018), and graduated from Tim Keller's City to City Los Angeles church planter program (2019–2022) while obtaining a Master of Theological Studies (2023) to begin a Doctor of Ministry program at Gateway Seminary focusing on youth evangelism (2024–present).
RJ’s experience has allowed him to help other youth workers win as a Download Youth Ministry Ambassador and lead a new youth movement called CSBC Youth that hosts annual youth conferences, labs, and events for 2,300+ churches in California.
RJ met his wife Melissa as they served together as youth leaders, and they have a beautiful daughter named Emma Rose who leads her own Jesus Club among her classmates.
